Delete Your Account
We're sorry to see you go. Here's how to delete your DreamSleep account and all associated data.
Option 1: Delete from within the app
- Open the DreamSleep app
- Go to Settings (tap the gear icon on the Home screen)
- Expand the Account section
- Tap Delete Account
- Enter your password to confirm
Your account and all data will be permanently deleted immediately.
Option 2: Request deletion via email
If you cannot access the app, send an email to:
Please include the email address associated with your DreamSleep account. We will process your request within 30 days in accordance with GDPR Article 17.
What data is deleted?
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Your user profile (name, age, sex, sleep habits, preferences)
- All sleep protocol data and progress
- Chat history with the Sleep Coach
- All accepted practices and task history
- Knowledge module progress
- Push notification tokens
- Firebase Authentication credentials
Anonymized, aggregated analytics data (collected via Firebase Analytics) cannot be attributed back to you after account deletion and is retained for product improvement purposes.
Data retention
After account deletion, a minimal metadata record (user ID and deletion timestamp) is retained for up to 90 days to ensure complete cleanup across all systems. This record contains no personal data and is automatically purged after the retention period.
